TecWel provides cased-hole logging services worldwide to the Oil & Gas Industry.  All the tools used in the actual process of gathering downhole data utilise the physical principle of ultrasound. The only standard systems used in the TecWel tool strings are depth correlation, head tension unit and telemetry. The tools provided by TecWel are proprietary; all are products of the company’s own R&D efforts and they are not supplied by any other service company.

When buying from TecWel the customers are getting a twofold service, one package of tools (hardware and software) and one package of human expertise. Each of the two components is equally important in giving the customer a complete, useful and profitable service!

Engineering:
Prior to every operation TecWel does a lot of pre-engineering. The customers provide necessary well data for TecWel to evaluate whether the challenges faced by the customers are within the tools’ operating envelopes. As for all other technology, the TecWel tools have their limitations; these might be pressure or temperature related, or the detection levels. Also as a part of the pre-engineering, TecWel supplies input to the operation program and makes sure that all interfaces vis-à-vis other suppliers involved in the operation are properly handled.

Over the years TecWel has built up a lot of experience as well as engineering tools, and the company offers this to customers FREE of charge! For example, if a customer has a well integrity issue, TecWel will evaluate the well data and assist the customer in understanding the situation and taking the next step based on facts and knowledge. Sometimes this results in a logging operation, sometimes just continued observation or even concluding that there is no problem.

Deliveries:
If the customer, on the basis of the pre-engineering and discussions, decides to make use of the cased-hole logging services from TecWel, then TecWel supplies, logging equipment, logistics, logging engineers on location and a final job report.

Deployment:
TecWel can deploy its tools on wireline, well tractor or coiled tubing irrespective of who is supplying the deployment service. TecWel does not provide the deployment services, and the tools are always deployed on equipment supplied by the operator’s existing service contract for those services.

Logistics:
All tools and accessories supplied by TecWel can easily be shipped around the world. The volume and weight allows the shipment to be sent by air freight at affordable prices.
