TecWel provides cased-hole logging services to the oil & gas industry worldwide.  All the tools used in the actual process of gathering downhole data utilise the physical principle of ultrasound. The only standard systems used in the TecWel tool strings are depth correlation, head tension unit and telemetry.

TecWel’s specialist ultrasound logging tools are proprietary; all are products of the company’s own R&D efforts, and they are not available through any other service company in the world.

When buying from TecWel customers benefit twofold - one package of technical tools (hardware and software) and one complementary package of superb professional expertise. Each of these two components is equally important in giving TecWel customers a comprehensive, invaluable and cost-effective service.

Engineering:
Prior to every client operation TecWel engages in a pre-engineering stage. The TecWel team will evaluate the customer’s own well data, and report back on how the quality of the information could be improved.

The TecWel team will also supply input to the well operation programme so the client can optimise all interfaces with system and equipment suppliers. 

Our well integrity team will give you a no-charge evaluation of your well data if you feel you may have a well integrity issue.

The TecWel well integrity team will assist every customer in evaluating the well’s status and advise on the next steps, based on detailed well data and a professional evaluation.

Some evaluations results in the need for a logging operation, some warrant only continued observation, and some conclude that there is no problem requiring remediation.

Deliveries:
If the customer, on the basis of the pre-engineering and discussions, decides to make use of the cased-hole logging services from TecWel, then TecWel supplies appropriate logging equipment, logistics, logging engineers on location and provides the client with a final job report.

Deployment:
TecWel can deploy its tools on wireline, wireline tractor or coiled tubing, irrespective of the supplier of the deployment service. TecWel does not provide deployment services, and the tools are always deployed on equipment supplied by the operator’s existing service contract for those services.

Logistics:
All tools and accessories supplied by TecWel can easily be shipped around the world, generally by air freight, at low cost.
