Organization

TecWel AS is a privately-owned company with its head office located in Bergen, Norway. However, the services are offered worldwide, and in with a view to increasing its presence in the market, branch offices have been established in the USA, the UK, the UAE and Malaysia. As the business grows, TecWel will establish itself in other parts of the world.  TecWel’s organisation chart is shown below:

TecWel AS

TecWel AS was formed in September 2001 in Bergen, Norway, where the head office is located. From here the company coordinates all the activities of its international offices. The company provides cased-hole logging services to the Oil & Gas industry. Bergen is the second-largest city in Norway, and the population of Greater Bergen is 300,000. The city has a large and broad academic community with 20,000 students. Since the Middle Ages the city has been focused on international trade and has a strong maritime heritage. Since the beginning of the 1980’s the importance of the Oil & Gas Industry to Bergen has grown, and besides hosting companies operating several offshore oil and gas fields, the city has now been called the “Subsea Capital of the World”. In addition, Bergen is a leading centre for acoustic technology; in fact it would not be misleading to call the city the “Acoustic Capital of Europe”. Bergen was thus the natural location for the development of TecWel AS.
