TecWel AS

TecWel AS was formed in September 2001 in Bergen, Norway, where the head office is located. From here the company coordinates all the activities of its international offices. The company provides cased-hole logging services to the Oil & Gas industry. Bergen is the second-largest city in Norway, and the population of Greater Bergen is 300,000. The city has a large and broad academic community with 20,000 students. Since the Middle Ages the city has been focused on international trade and has a strong maritime heritage. Since the beginning of the 1980’s the importance of the Oil & Gas Industry to Bergen has grown, and besides hosting companies operating several offshore oil and gas fields, the city has now been called the “Subsea Capital of the World”. In addition, Bergen is a leading centre for acoustic technology; in fact it would not be misleading to call the city the “Acoustic Capital of Europe”. Bergen was thus the natural location for the development of TecWel AS.

Managing Director

Mr Svendsen worked within the mechanical industry prior to starting working in the oil industy. He startet with Seawell in 2007. He has more than 28 years of experience from the well services industry and has held several senior positions in Otis Overseas, Smedvig and Seadrill, most recently as Manager, Product and Technology, Well Intervention.

Mr Svendsen's extensive experience includes international onshore and offshore operations. He has also taken numerous courses related to the oil industry such as drilling, well testing, wireline and well integrity. Mr Svendsen is a Norwegian citizen and resides in Randaberg in the outskirt of Stavanger.
